A Certificate of Academic Distinction is given to all types of DepEd-based honors during the quarterly PTC. A student should have at least a 90% semester average in all major and minor subjects to qualify for Academic Distinction. The recipient of Certificate of Academic Distinction is recognized every quarter during the flag ceremony.  

CEM tests are not required for Academic Distinction. A character grade of ‘P’ or Poor disqualifies a student from this academic recognition.   

Academic Distinction is given to Grades 4-12.
