Corporal Punishment

Corporal punishment is prohibited. It is a disciplinary method in which a teacher deliberately/intentionally inflicts physical/emotional/mental pain upon a child in response to a child’s unacceptable behavior or inappropriate language. Misbehavior, non-compliance, incomplete or non-submission of assignment should not be grounds for corporal punishment. Destroying or rejection of student project/assignment because of anger, frustration, or disappointment is prohibited.

After due process, violation of this could mean suspension or termination of teacher’s employment. Please refer to the School Policy on Child Protection and Anti-Bullying.
