Electricity / Energy Conservation

Energy conservation is the decision and practice of using less energy. Turning off the lights when leaving the room, unplugging appliances when they are not in use are examples of energy conservation. The two main reasons people conserve energy are to gain more control over energy bills and reduce the demand on the earth’s natural resources.

Teachers should make sure that lights, aircons, fans, and IT devices are switched off during recess, break, at dismissal, or when not in used. Teachers and students are expected to take care of school property and help save energy.

Students need to secure approval from the school director or her representative before they can use any classroom, school facility, and equipment during non-school hours (group practice, project, assignment, etc.).
